August 14th, Australia Day 174

These photos I took on my last day in Melbourne.

This is the entrance to Luna Park in St. Kilda, a suburb of Melbourne to the south of the CBD. I spent most of the day in St. Kilda and this is the main attraction there. All Luna Parks have a clown face entrance. Posted by Picasa

This is St. Kilda Beach which borders on Port Philip Bay. Posted by Picasa

This is the Palais Theatre beside Luna Park. Posted by Picasa

This is a statue to James Cook who sailed into the area in the late 18th Century. Posted by Picasa

When I saw these boats, I began to think of the submarines the British sold us that were fine as long as they didn't have to go under water. I began to imainge that the Australians would try to pull something similar by selling us these things and telling us that they were state-of-the-art warships. Posted by Picasa

Inside Central Station there is this giant watch. Posted by Picasa
